![]() Wow, check out this TED Talk from a couple years ago by Donald Sadoway, a professor at MIT, on his quest for a large liquid metal battery that works at the electrical grid scale to store electricity produced by a variety of means. His thesis is that our current energy problem is that we spend too much time trying to come up with the best demand-based energy producer instead of thinking in terms of what we can do to store any form of incoming energy and send it along when needed. His solution is quite interesting and a real hope for the future. He also speaks to what the process of education can be with regard to developing inventive innovators. Comments are closed.
